Trainee Site Manager
Josh is a Trainee Site Manager currently studying part-time for his Construction Management degree at Leeds College of Building. His course covers everything from construction technology and the wider built environment to digital applications like Revit, surveying and setting out, legal requirements, financial management, and site operations — meaning he’s steadily becoming a walking, talking construction encyclopaedia (minus the dusty cover).
He’s gained hands-on experience across two live sites, learning from industry veterans who have kindly shared their knowledge — and occasionally their strong opinions on the correct way to make tea on site. Recently, Josh has also spent time in the office, developing new skills in procurement and discovering that spreadsheets can, in fact, bite back.
Known for being organised, proactive, and surprisingly enthusiastic about paperwork, Josh is quickly becoming the team’s go-to person for keeping site documentation in order and ensuring all parties stay on top of their compliance. With a growing toolbelt of technical, practical, and administrative skills, he’s well on his way to a strong career in construction management — fuelled by determination, curiosity, and probably a lot of coffee.
