Leona has oodles of experience in the construction industry gained through working for a number of tier one contractors and progressing to her current role of Pre-Construction Commercial Manager at Wordsworth Construction Management.
She describes herself as a Jackie of All Trades as her construction experience stems from an estimating background, but she now leads the commercial and procurement aspects of projects through her knowledge of pre and post contract commercial management and through her extensive procurement and supply chain relationships.
Standing up for Girl Power, Leona retrained and achieved a first class degree in Construction Management. She was also awarded the University of Huddersfield Construction Cup for her efforts - the first female recipient of this prestigious accolade.
Likes – border collies, cooking, music, walking, crocheting, wine (but not necessarily in that order!!!)
Dislikes – nothing, every day above ground is a good day!!!!
